    Hole 3 >>

In the early years, entrance to the property and Flossmoor’s old clubhouse was gained through a gate on Western Ave. The key to scoring on this hole is an aerial shot or a low bump and run shot. The bunker short of the approach heightens the accomplishment of a well executed bump and run shot into the firm approach. Cupping areas nearest the adjacent bunkers require added strategy and thought. A shot hit over a back left pin position will find a bentgrass collar “catch area”. If a shot falls down the slope to this area the player will be left with three options for recovery back to the green: a lob, pitch, or putt.
